Remanufactured Laser Cartridge

Has anyone purchased and/or used remanufactured laser cartridges? My HP-85A cartridges cost about $65.00 each, but the cost of remanufactured 85A cartridges are only $20.00 - $30.00? Are there any NotRotters with experience, good or bad, to share?

I buy them all the time from supermediastore.com and suppliesoutlet.com never had a problem yet. I have an HP-2430 and 2 brother printers.

Remanufactured Laser Cartridge

Thanks! I purchased a remanufactured cartridge for my old HP 1200se from Office Depot, some time ago, but it failed. I've been gunshy ever since. It could have been a simple fluke at the time, so I'm going to give it try once more. The savings are substantial!

Not only do I buy the remans or compatibles, I also refill them myself...usually get at least 2 refills out of them, too. Been doing it for years on an ol' HP1200, too. You can get them right here on NR.
In all that time, I've had 4 bad ones. 3 of which were from Monoprice--don't go there!

I've been using LD products remans for about 10 years without a problem on a Lexmark T644 printer. I get the 21,000 sheet yield without a problem, all for $100. Hard to beat.

Ditto. I use supermediastore.com. I previously had used LD

Products, but I wasn't happy with the print qualify (lighter gray). I've said this before--if I had to pay full retail for OEM carts I don't know how I'd afford to do this volume printing.
BTW, I'm using a Brother HL-5240 that I picked up cheap a couple of years ago. I already had a 2nd tray that fit that machine, and toner carts & drums are cost effective.

I have been buying mine from inkjetsuperstore.com for awhile and have had no problems and the price is less than half of what I would pay in retail.

Re:related question

I have had great luck with a local company on cartridges for Brother 5370DWT; problem wiht the only remanufactured drum I bought. I have gone back to buying EOM drums.
Anyone else have experiences to share on drums for this printer?

Re: Re:related question

I definitely go for the RM cartridges. I buy my cartridges for both of my Brother printers at Cartridge World here on Maui. They are $35 cheaper than our only office supply store, Office Max. The re-manufactured TN-450 cartridges are $58.00 each. Shipping to Hawaii is always a consideration, but I will also try the online sites mentioned in these posts and see if they can save me $$. Thanks for the info!
