Tsk, tsk.. BAD notary!

Completed a closing last night for a gentleman who stated that the closing had been scheduled for last Friday. Borrower waited and waited for notary to show up. 1/2 hr after scheduled time, notary called the bo & informed him that there were issues with the documents & docs showed bo was married. BO told notary that no, he was NOT married. Notary tells bo "I'll call you right back". 2 hrs later, no call from notary. BO calls & calls AND calls notary, who never answered his phone nor returned any messages.
Borrower calls his LO the next day & LO informs him the docs sent to the notary do NOT show BO as married. LO calls title, ditto from title..no spouse on docs.
So thank you BAD notary as I did the closing. And SHAME on you for LYING!!

Well, I hope you took the bad taste out of the Borrower's mouth. What an experience.
