I Googled my name and came up with an obituary

don't know if that's good for my digital footprint, although having six digits on each foot probably makes up for it.

All sorts of important people with my name (not me) including a foreign General. Thankfully it's a friendly country or I would have to declare diplomatic immunity.

What do they say? If you don't toot your own horn somebody will use it as a spittoon?

Well, you do have a very common name. Perhaps you can change to Benji or something equally as uncommon, Benjious, Benjing, something.

I always thought that I was the only CHERYL ELLIOTT. With the way of the web, we're coast to coast, all over the place. I once came up on the Department of Homeland Security alert list.

Was I surprised! I had to fill out a background statement of information. Clearly I have never lived in Cerritos, CA, don't even think I've been there, and I have had no issues with DHS, so far.

You would expect Multiplicity in larger geographic areas but

I live in a small town of about 10,000 (we have one off ramp - whoosh!) and there are three of me!

One of us has to work (me), there other one loves to fish (me) and the other sometimes goofs off on NotRot (that's me too). Well the thrid, who really knows, hard to keep track.

Odd thing is we've never met, though I do get the realtor's bills every now and again. People ask if he is me and I reply, no me is me. Others say he is a nice enough guy and that keeps me from going to jail.

So here's the kicker, I'm in the loan business and he's a realtor. We have never met in the 20 years I have been here. I don't know where the third new guy hides, although I hear he likes pizza and calls people Steve. (reference the movie 'Multiplicity' here)

Further, late one night I was doing a loan signing, and the customer laughed saying a guy next door who is a realtor has the same name. That was as close as we got. People say it would be a great idea to work together since we have the same name with related professions.

I always agree especially since it would be all about the Benjamins!

I get asked a lot if I'm Jewish. I take that as a compliment, why not.
