"WAPO, NYT and Politifact. All leftist fake news. Invalid sources. CNN & MSNBC next?"
Are you being purposely obtuse?
They are documenting his words, taken from ACTUAL VIDEO of him saying them or taking a screenshot of his tweets. Then they are documenting why and how the statements are a lie. It has nothing to do with "fake news", which is Trump's term for reporting he doesn't like or doesn't agree with.
How many times did he say that Mexico was going to pay for his Wall? Is it fake news to say that they are NOT paying for it? Is it fake news to report that, despite his claim that the new wall is being built, government documents show that not a single mile of NEW wall has been built, because the funds appropriated were for repair and replacement ONLY? Is it fake news to say that he has diverted over $3 Billion from the DOD budget, canceling over 100 scheduled military projects to pay for a Wall that Mexico was going to pay for? What part of that is fake news?
How many times has he said that China is paying the tariffs? Economics 101 tells us that's not how tariffs work. Is it fake news to say that he is bailing out the farmers who have been hit hard by the tariffs? Is it fake news to report that US exports are down and consumer prices are going to rise because of the tariffs? What part of that is fake news?
Was Alabama ever threatened by Hurrican Dorian? No, and anyone looking at the storm track maps still available on the NOAA website would be aware of that. Was it fake news to report on that lie, and the fact that he or someone on his staff used a Sharpie to alter the map? What part of that is fake news?
You're living in his reality bubble, and if that's where you're happy to live, enjoy it for as long as it lasts. If you want to reject all legitimate news media sources in favor of wherever it is you get your news from (I suspect that would be Fox's entertainment side, Breitbart, Limbaugh, Daily Caller, etc), knock yourself out. As I said, I won't do your research for you - it's all out there if you just bother to look, and you should really start looking at it critically. Even if you reject the sources as invalid, look at the "alleged" lies they have compiled and research some of them for yourself.
Or just stay in the bubble where it's nice and warm and comfy. |
