Anyone could have done a better job - he has mishandled this from the beginning. All he had to do was listen to the experts who were telling him this was going to be a major problem - but he always thinks he's the smartest guy in the room and trusts his gut and his instincts more than he trusts the advice of people who actually know what they're talking about. It's an example of the Dunning-Kreuger effect, where an individual thinks he knows more than he actually does - or to put it another way, when stupid people don't realize how stupid they are. |
