Some counties in Florida have mandatory mask mandates - South Florida especially, but Alachua County has had it for over a month now - and they are issuing citations for upwards of $500 for non-compliance. I believe Duval County, Clay County and St. Johns County are also leaning that way - but it's up to the individual county to make their own determination.
I believe it's Clay County that has a plan in place to put barriers between the desks in school so schools can open in August (which I think is a great idea in a normal situation anyway) so each child is in a "cubicle" sort of area - cost? $4m
