It's terrible, but they are not alone. They let it revert back, they didn't want to fight for their freedoms. Maybe the women will stand up where their men didn't. IDK. It's very sad. I wish them the best. Many of them have never had to live that life before 20 years ago, so will be very hard for them to adjust, or really try and get out of there.
There are many prominent nations that continue to discriminate against females by preventing them from learning. In these countries, gender inequality in education not only stifles the development of women but also their sense of self-worth. India, Cambodia, Pakistan, Nepal, Afghanistan, Chad, Papua New Guinea, Haiti, Egypt, Guatemala, Turkey, Morrocco, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Central African Republic, Niger, Mali, Liberia, Burkina Faso...Then allowing them to work or vote is another thing. Suppression is real, and so greatful to live here and never had to expereince that. |
