For those of you who want Biden to spend his 4 years undoing everything Trump did, you know, the very same thing you accused Trump of doing to Obama, may want to take some time to investigate on your own some of the things that Trump has done that were right. One thing he instituted, and imo should absolutely stay in place, was that for any government agency to institute any new regulations it had to strike down 2 obsolete, ineffective, or counterproductive ones currently on the books. Can anyone tell me why such a rule is a bad thing? Or why Biden should go back to the way things were just because the policy was started under Trump?
Trump is bringing back the ability for companies to create and sell new dishwashers that should actually work the first time. The Obama era regulations created dishwashers that are counterproductive to what the regulations claimed they wanted to do (government logic, good enough for gov't work, go figure).

From the article: "The tighter rules (under the Obama administration) didn't lead to energy savings for customers. The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers estimated that they actually increased water consumption by 63 billion gallons, as households would have to run their dishwashers multiple cycles, or pre-rinse their dishes by hand, in order to get dishes actually clean."
So, besides the intellectual dishonesty of claiming Trump, or any Repub, is wrong for wanting to undo something a previous president did but celebrate the very same actions if it is a Dem president, one might want to actually look at what is either being instituted or what is being undone to decide if it is a bad thing rather than what political party the president belongs to ... just a thought. |
