I just came across a nifty little browser extension called Fakespot (http://www.fakespot.com/) that helps detect fake or questionable on shopping sites like Amazon. I read about it in an article in WAPO and decided to check it out.
Today I was looking for a Galaxy Smartwatch on Amazon, and Fakespot flagged one third-party vendor listing because the seller has a bad reputation. Of course, that was the one offering the lowest price, so I should have known...
The extension is free and works with both Firefox and Chrome - not sure what other browsers are supported. If you're like me and do a lot of online shopping, this might make a nice addition to your toolbox. |
