It is just WAY too early and to have started two years before an election is insane.
1. It should be somebody that brings no debts owed to special interest groups.
2. Someone that can seriously relate to the American people on the streets and the struggles of making ends meet.
3. A political "Lifer" is out just by mear fact they can not relate to the average or working stiff out here.
4. Somebody that doesn't flip-flop on issues week to week.
5. Somebody that has the courage to stand up against "popular opinion" and can think for themselves.
6. Get health care costs down by getting rid of crazy law suits, high malpractice insurance, HMO profits Vs actual health care, lower prescription drug costs. A government backed health care system is a joke because government can't even run itself.
7. Secure the borders first then go after employers who openly hire illegals. Provide a workable "work permitt" program that is just and fair to those wanting to come into the US and actually work. Enforce laws already on the books and stop creating new laws that will never be enforced but enacted because "it feels good".
8. If they can't revamp social security, make a handsoff money pit that can not be tapped into as is now being done.
9. Return Government back to the people and away from big business, special interest groups and lobbiests.
10. Don't worry about world opionion about the US. Every other country out there wants to be us and their people want to come here. They always have and they always will.
So far I haven't seen anybody approach these except maybe Fred Thompson and he isn't even the race yet. - Too early to have a favorite! |
