This kind of reminds me of when I was stationed overseas as an Army MP. The post commander had issued an edict that shirts, including civvies, on off duty personnel as well as dependents, were not to be worn untucked unless they were square bottom shirts. We spent many a shift enforcing that edict, but then we didn't have that much else to do other than chase down drunk GI's, settle disputes with the local "ladies", investigate accidents, and protect convoys from the local rebels. Much less action that what the local PD faces every day. Ahhhhh, for the good old days! Life was simpler then! |
