My late aunt would not allow anyone to express an opinion which was not exactly in line with her own political views without getting fire-breathing angry and talking down to them like they were scum. She was a great person I loved a lot but she was really stunted on allowing for views other than she possessed. She became a bully and as she aged, it took away some of her believability. Some of her views were accurate, some of them were gained from spin and propaganda and had no basis in reality.
I am interested in any factual information people have to offer, but broad-sweeping generalizations based on opinion shut my ears down and send me off to listen to someone else. |
