...the Clinton "Monica" scandal you're referring to was never about the sex act itself. The scandal was his lying under oath to our court system trying to defend himself from one of his earlier sexcapades. As far as what happens to Sen Craig I believe the Republican party will do its utmost to see justice is done as it was in the Mark Foley case. There's already talk among many prominent GOP (& the acronym isn't any where near how you've chosen to defame it, but then I digress) leaders that he needs to step down & in my opinion he should unless there's some dramatic evidence to the contrary. In the court of public opinion (politics) you're unfortunately guilty until proven innocent. If I want to drag out a particular person on the Democratic party for review of his past actions where absolutely nothing was done by his party to discipline his behavior, one needs to look no further than the Senator from Massachusetts, Ted Kennedy. How many times has he been re-elected over the past 40+ years in spite of his tawdry behavior, starting with Chappaquiddick? We could also have a good discussion about what the Dems have (or rather haven't) done about Congressman William Jefferson from Louisiana & his refrigerator full of loot. Both parties have a lot to be ashamed of & the Republicans don't own the corner on the market which is how you're lamely attempting to portray it with your initial post.
Back to my original reply to your original message, I still say you're in violation of rule #1 with your broad brush stroke of all Republicans in an insulting, uncivil, & "unclean" fashion. You're most certainly not constructive. |
