He didn't destroy them, they were moved to a dining room the first week. Did he leave Obama? It's his house, he can do what he wants. Like it or not, pretty sure the next President will remove his Portrait. You may like this read...http://www.americancivilwarforum.com/what-were-confederate-soldiers-fighting-for-760.html When push came to shove, a majority of Confederate leaders, and apparently a sizable majority of Southern citizens, were willing to end slavery to preserve the South’s independence. This should not be surprising since two-thirds of Southern families were not involved with slaveholding, and since barely 10 percent of Southern citizens held title to slaves. Most Confederate soldiers were not slaveholders, and a majority of Confederate officers were not slaveholders either. It's amazing these statues have been here for a long time with no issue, never spoken of, but yes it's an election year and have to find something since his impeachment and Russia hoax didn't work. It's our past, it's the history we are built on. Instead of destroying them, why not make arrangements to move them to another place? It was a republican president that set the slaves free, don't forget, but they even tore Lincoln's statue up. Let's rip apart our statues, burn the flag, rewrite the constitution, show disrespect for our President, take over cities with radical ideals, defund the police...If this keeps going we are in line for another civil war. Sometimes I think the left will not be happy until we do. jmo
