Even if it was an approved drug, it would probably not be affordable for many seniors.

It would be considered a Tier 4 drug (speciality drug); I'm not aware of any Medicare supplemental insurance that will cover 100% of a Tier 4 drug (if anyone knows of one that does, please let me know - it's sometimes an issue for me).

You may be able to get about 80% of it covered, which means you'd still be on the hook for about $11K a year if the yearly cost of this Alzheimer's med is correct - and that's just one medication. On a fixed income? Not gonna happen.
