Agree with Carolyn and Mike. Just heard a report about spikes in Omicron detection in the sewers around Boston. The report that it's too early to tell makes lots of sense to me.
We're woefully behind some other countries in how much sequencing we do of positive diagnoses. South Africa apparently is doing a great job at that, which may be the reason Omicron was first detected there. I think it's likely that it's already been passing around since well before that.
