You may be right about some counties in CA not being able to do electronic document recording, but Orange County, where I live, is not on Amrock's list, yet I believe it was one of the first counties in the country to implement any form of electronic recording of documents. Back in the day (way more than a decade ago), however, I remember being told that there were three levels of electronic recording, but I don't remember the details of what the differences are. It's possible those details may have something to do with accepting RON notarized documents, but I don't know.
As for your question, I'm not aware of any prohibition against accepting any document notarized legally in another state from being accepted here for recordation - but I won't speculate beyond saying that. |
