Yes, Oregon does have a site that lists notaries. Last I looked (a couple weeks ago) it was under construction. I will check back there again. Not sure if that would satisfy these people, but it IS an option.

I feel comfortable doing appointments where no notarization is required of me. Sometimes they just want a notary that is familiar with checking appropriate ID and witnessing the signature. I don't know if the "milkman" knows that drill or not!! (O: I am also listed as an experienced legal assistant on my profile which may add to their comfort zone in the scheme of things.
