Oh Dear Cheryl. That would make for a "Blue _____" (fill in any day of the week) ANY day of the week for me!
I'm guessing there were no notary/borrower's instructions that said the signature MUST be legible.You are a seasoned NSA and would have caught that anyway. I just ask because I, personally, have seen that kind of verbiage as of late.
I recently had a signing where the Borrowers signature was just a big loop-type circle! I caught on to it initially when he signed my journal. I explained the documents could be rejected because of his illegible signature. I totally put the responsibility back on them. I know I would get paid either way. It was AMAZING how quickly he snapped out of it and signed all the docs with a slow and deliberate legible signature! ha ha
Lastly, u r NOT a PITA!!!
