Love my job, but getting disheartened by fees
Posted by clpflorida on 1/27/15 9:57am

How do we stop getting insulted by the fees being offered? I love what I do and do my job very well, but I am getting so disheartened by the fee structure. We are stuck, either take it or another notary will accept low-balling who obviously has no self-respect for their position or just overly desperate to work and has another form of income. I'm a single mom and up until the past couple years this business provided a nice income. How do we gain financial respect for our position? I wish it was more regulated. Lately they are requiring more (faxing back the pkg, crazy instructions that really shouldn't be our responsibility, packages are coming larger (up to 200 pgs). Is there anyway to get what we deserve in this? After all, if it wasn't for us they wouldn't be in business! How to take a stand?
