Well, for the nursing home/hospital signings we would go all out to physically accommodate the signer, of course.

Thing is about sofa signings, though, I get the idea sometimes that nobody has ever come to the borrower's house to conduct business until we show up. They think this is another cocktail party or a home call from their minister and try to seat you on the sofa with dim to no lighting, thinking they're being polite .... at which time we gently point at the mustard/honey/ketchup/BBQ-sauce/grease-covered kitchen table. But sometimes, they're serious about the sofa/coffee table arrangement, cos they actually don't have a table or it's in another room they don't want you to go into ... and believe me you probably would never want to go into, either. But if I'm stuck on/in a sofa, they do all the stretching involved. I'm not cut out for the gymnastics.

Oh, and this is another reason, I always ask borrower during confirmation call if they want me to come to their house or meet somewhere else. Many times they're taken aback cos their stupid LO made it sound like a home-signing was the only way to go .... and they take me up on a fast-food/Starbucks/library location. I sure would. I wouldn't want to have to clean my house just for some NSA!
