Re: WebCam notarization article in the NYT

The BS started with the first line:

"Charged with officially affirming the transaction’s legitimacy, notaries apply their legal stamp of approval"...

and ended with the last line:

"NotaryCam has done legally binding transactions in all 50 states and in 64 countries."

Sounds like time for another nationwide letter writing campaign - this time to the editor of the NYT (with copies to our state Attorneys General, or States Attorneys)! I'm from the other coast, but somehow I was under the impression that the NYT was a legit newspaper. Was I wrong?

Those behind this issue (probably the ones named in the article) seem to be conducting an aggressive misinformation campaign. And these days, it seems like the press is more concerned with presenting both sides of an issue, right or wrong, vs. printing the facts. [Sorry for leaning over the JP edge - but I think this is pretty non-partisan, whatever one's beliefs.] If something is repeated often enough, people start to believe it...
