If you think about it, whenever you accept and assignment with payment upfront via PayPal from a company with a poor history for paying timely, what you're really doing, in a sense, is taking the money from another fellow notary who is still waiting to be paid for an assignment they've already completed. Not only that, but you enable them to stay in business that much longer so that they can prey on someone else.

Just say NO, folks! I know times are tough, but if we stuck to our guns and drove those bad players out, those very same calls could be coming to you from a different company with a better track record and very possibly for more money!

I may sound like a broken record on this subject, but every time someone mentions that as an option, there's a good chance someone new to our business will see that as a great idea - and the predators win again...
