of the process. What title co. are you going to become an associate of (a requirement for RESA)?
That makes us an employee of the tc, which is a contradiction to our role.
The Virginia Bar & XYZ have been at this for years.
Most states require NSA's to be bonded. VA doesn't offer a bond.
If you look at the requirements you will realize that it's cost prohibitive for us & would costs thousands of dollars for the course, bond, etc.
I have been told time & time again by owners of title cos. that this should not apply to us.
I don't think they're ever going to clarify our role, frankly. Lawyers do what they do, write laws that serve to complicate things & create a need for them. Just my .02
I hate every time this can of worms gets opened. It's a Pandora's box. |
