E-signings for mortgages are a completely different thing. It only means that some of the docs are on the computer & some are still paper. I never saw a volume of e-signings come about either.
If you're considering becoming an Electronic Notary, be aware that it's a separate commission from Traditional notary. There are cos. out there that are using VA Electronic Notaries to do webcam notarizations at the national level. You would probably want to work through their system. There are special requirements for record keeping. You can find all the info on the SOC website.
