You may be right, but it could just as likely not be. I believe that lots of people jump into this field with little thought or advance planning, which is evidenced by all the questions we get here. If they get started that casually and haven't put forth the effort to "do their own homework", as we often call it, that lack of commitment may also be why they don't bother to come back. It also might have something to do with the kind of responses they get, as they timidly test the waters here.
If they don't come back and post again (which doesn't mean they haven't read the responses), it may make them a person with questionable business prospects, but not necessarily a troll. Lots of people aren't familiar with internet forum conventions and courtesies and others just don't care. On the other hand, I think of a troll as someone with intentional malicious intent. There's lots of room in between. |
