It's a new form. I think if a lender leaves it blank it may appear that it needs to be signed - OR - a specific lender may want it signed. The GFE 2010 did not require signatures but some lenders and brokers were allowed to protect themselves, if they wished, by adding a signature line to acknowledge receipt of it, that's all. It had no legal bearing one way or another on the loan. |
