I had a Notary place their stamp on a POA where they were to sign. It had not been sent to TC for approval. I alerted TC of the error and they agreed. Not acceptable. The Notary did not know what she was doing.(Scary) BWIW in KY you can sign the Notary ACK and you do not have to stamp your seal, as long as all the pertinent info is written below the Signature line.(Name, ID # and Exp date) The original issue discussed was whether you have to Type or can you hand print you name under your signature. Seems to me that if they wanted it typed they should have typed it there! I have noticed the verbiage, "Typed or hand written" I always complete the requested info in the Notarization, I have seen where some say it on their stamp and that's good enough, I disagree.
