know how to run a profitable business. I know the exact costs involved before accepting an assignment.

There have been some very informative posts in this Forum about how to calculate expenses involved in running a notary business. Every newbie needs to study those posts. They are terrific.

With one exception, I only accept $1XX.00 assignments from SS/TC. Otherwise it does not make any sense

The newbies don't mind losing money on every assignment as long as they make it up in volume!! It is beyond crazy. They drag down fees for all of us, then they go out of business because they could not make a profit and then the next crop of newbies comes in to the business with visions of a six-figure income.

If you want to consider low pay, no pay, money losing assignments, instead please consider making a contribution to your favorite charity, volunteering your time for a worthy organization, get a hobby or go gambling at a casino.
