Re: He may say anything to get his car hooked up to a tow

Yes, it's a restoration, and not drivable yet. My husband is "old fashioned", trusts people and takes a hand shake. It's just him at the shop, no real business model. He was raised in a small town where people trusted each other, and getting a signature from a "friend" was almost an insuilt. He can build you a car from a flat sheet of metal, but no real buisness skills, and the bad guys see him as a sitting duck. When I try to help, he says, "you run your business your way and I will run my business my way". So it's frustrating. But I am going to be there to get the check and run it right over to the bank. He said to me today, he he does not bring a cashiers check, I am not giving him the car.

We find that many people with money just don't like letting go of it, and they want work for free. They don't understand that a hand-built car is not the same as ordering parts and snapping them together.
