would have done too - under the circumstances the OP posted, you yourself would have taken it...she said
" I gave them my fee. They said they would have to get it approved. Got the confirmation email (from Sourcepoint Mortgage) saying the fee was approved and the closing is mine. The next day I get a call from Sourcepoint asking to lower me fee. I reluctantly agreed to lower it a few dollars. Again they said that's fine and the closing is mine and got an updated confirmation."
Two confirmations of the agreed fee (although asking to lower the fee would have tipped me off to issues) - but based on your own prior posts, you have to admit if someone agrees to meet your fee - TWICE - you'd have taken the assignment too. You have been very open about working for lower paying companies and lower fees.
