but not knowing what is actually injured or how badly, icing down may be the worst thing to do — heat may be what is needed. Again, like I said, not knowing what is going on with your body, it is imperative you get medical x-rays ASAP. Is surgery is needed, swelling and/or infection will delay surgery.
Under no circumstances should your own insurance/homeowners insurance be notified, as that could be construed that the fall/injury(ies) are your fault. The purpose of homeowners’ insurance is to cover accidents that occur on your property. This is definitely the responsibility of their own insurance.
Again, I’m the odd man out in my opinion when it comes to legal counsel. Dealing with attorneys for almost 40 years, I don’t immediately believe the “sue” society is always the best way. The BOs seemed really concerned, with just cause as you got injured on their property. Contact them and explain that you are injured and seeking medical attention and they need to contact their insurance agent, who, in turn, will contact you and/or doctors, hospitals, etc. If, it turns out you need a lawyer, it is easier enough to get one later. Good luck and I hope you aren’t seriously injured. |
