Re: Only one platform for RON per notary in FL?

I'm in agreement with you both, here. Sounds to me like the big tech dystopia has succeeded in wriggling its fingers into our industry. This is particularly terrifying for me (again, many of my opinions are colored by my experience being integrated into a totalitarian country for so long) because our industry is so critical to the healthy functioning of society.

If these big tech firms manage to get their hands around the throat of our industry, then how long will it be before individual providers start saying "Nope. We don't like your social media profile (etc.). We aren't allowing you to access our platform."? Both notaries AND citizens are exposed to this risk. Imagine having no option because one company or a small group of affiliated companies have all of the RON business in a state or even nationwide and businesses make a concerted effort to move away from ink and paper notarizations.

I am heading over to donate to Matt.

I have said numerous times that there HAS to be a way for us to organize as an industry. In my view, this is both the opportunity and the reason to create some sort of unified notary movement. Our industry is being picked and clawed at from every angle, and even I (as a fairly new addition to the industry) can see it plain as day.

It won't be long before poisonous claws are sunk into it. The fact that our industry is so invisible to the general public makes this struggle twice as difficult.
