Re: NSC always requests both blue and black ink

Having been in mortgage business for 20 years, this request is common knowledge within the mortgage business itself. It is very difficult to determine orignal from copy when using black ink, keeping in mind the lenders post closer is reviewing a multitude of these documents. "If" the lender is requesting you add something by hand, it is typically done in black ink. The actual signatures are done in blue, again to assist the post closer, shipper and insuring departments in determining that the signatures. It is very difficult, time consuming and costly when a lender has to spend time questioning whether or not the document is an original or copy. I hope this helps.
