in the fork of the road and she followed me up in her car with Sweetie who was practically under the steering wheel in Ann's lap.
We transferred Sweetie to the condo kennel. She hasn't eaten in a couple of days. When she wags her tail, begins to eat, and doesn't growl at me, I'll know she's settled in. Then maybe I can leash walk her, and Romeo can meet her. All he knows is there is another canine somewhere up here out of his view and he can't wait to make friends! Kudo, the Siberian Huskie, will probably meet Sweetie before Romeo does, as he is nocturnal and appears on our deck early in the morning when I'm up at 5am, looking for treats. It's a couple of miles for him to come here from his home around the bend.
My neighbor Ann went back to cleaning and packing and sobbed all the way home. It will take a few days for everyone to get back to "happy". |
