Considering you work for the court system

and what you notarize will become a part of THOSE records (some public, some sealed)...I'd suggest you check with your SOS and also with Court Administration and/or their legal counsel. Your "employer" situation is a bit unique. Your Supervisor should be able to guide you on who to speak to about this....and if they can't, how about the Chief Clerk of the Court...
