Recently I performed a refi signing for a couple whose title is in their trust, and the lender sent them during UWing a trust certificate for notarization. The UPS notary put his name on the acknowledgment but did not write Notary Public after his name, just NOTARY.

He signed his first name in the signature block, but did not print his name under his signature. This is a requirement in CA...I could tell he wasn't that diligent based on these errors, and he also did not circle the appropriate plural pronouns in the body of the acknowledgment. Clearly, this notary forgot his training. Well, what do you want for $2...that's what UPS employees receive in their notary fee compensation. The rest stays with the UPS store franchise owner.
