While looking at a long term lease on my own property, I began investigating rentals at the beach, short term over the summer. Here's what I'm finding is the norm.
No smokers or pets, need good record of utility bills and rent references, have to be working for 1 year at least, $3500 per month + one month security deposit, unfurnoished, two months rent + security deposit if furnished. Credit check plus background check no problema, but if your score is low or too much debt, you are kicked to the bottom of the list. I don't smoke and my animals will stay on the property with long term tenant who loves my dogs.
Screeners no longer ban water beds....temperpedic has replaced these old hippy sleepers. BUT they don't want motorcycles in nice neighborhoods for those people who might rev the bike at 5am.
