I returned a message to WFG indicating that they have to actually pay for this new requirement, and I also asked for a coherent reason that this requirement has been implemented.
I suggested that probably the reason this has taken place is that less than qualified notaries are being hired, and that the work being returned is below par, hence faxing everything. Everything??
And then telling you that an additional fee had to be "approved" is ludricrous. Obviously they now expect more "freebies" from the notary - Background Checks, E&O policy requirements, fax for free, huge packages for free, absurd mileage for free, and bargain basement $80 fees for a loan signing.
We are in business and this isn't a hobby, although some of these companies think it is. Yet there will be some so-called notaries who will still accept garbage fees, and will just knuckle under and fax back for free, ruining the marked even further. It's getting ridiculous.
