Colorado Notary Reference Book

I am a state-approved Colorado Notary Training instructor. I carry my self-written 36-page Colorado Notary Guide that I give to my students. It includes useful and important tips and all the notary laws in the appendix. It includes a cross-reference so you can look up a topic and find the relevant law.

The Colorado SOS publishes a Notary Handbook on their website. But, I have learned that there are sometimes errors in information on the SOS notary website, in their notary handbook, in answers they give in notary phone calls, and in their training course material and notary exam. I tell my students to check the actual text of the notary laws. That is the legal source.

Colorado includes a Quick Response (QR) Code in the training course. Students can scan the QR Code using a QR Code Reader phone app to download the Notary Handbook PDF file onto a smartphone. A searchable PDF file is more useful when looking for a word or phrase than manually searching a printed handbook.
