escrow was overnighting documents to borrower directly. 10:30 A.M. delivery. The appointment was scheduled for noon. By 11:30, the borrower was reaching out to escrow...where's the docs? When I arrived at noon, she had escrow on the phone. Bad weather in Memphis, docs got a late start out of there. All that Fed Ex could tell escrow was that docs were on the truck. Should be there no later than 4 P. M. Escrow was like, REALLY? I told her I would stick around for a little while to see if they showed up. I said, "You know if I leave at 12:30, they'll deliver those docs around 12:45. Murphy is alive and well." Escrow chuckled and said, "Go on. You don't have to stick around. If borr calls you that she got the docs, go back. I have no problem paying you full price for two trips. This one's gonna be on Fed Ex." Sure enough, 1:00 …. borr calls me, they just delivered the docs. Can I go back? Very stand up escrow...got full price for two trips. Direct client.
