The Apprentice - SCOTUS edition

Media reports are that there are at least three black SUV caravans driving around DC early this evening, with reporters unsure of who is in the SUV. The consensus seems to be that one may contain the SCOTUS nominee and the other two are decoys. Or all three are decoys. All is to be revealed at 9 PM ET, which is not something I intend to watch - I still have a season of "The Handmaid's Tale" to get through...

At what point did important presidential announcements become the subject of a reality television treatment? Is this just a game to him?
