I know that Orwell was a Socialist (liberal)
The irony is that all of his predictions did not come true due to Fascism, but rather Progressive lieberalism.
Just a few points so this doesn't get too lengthy.
Big Brother (AKA Big government) - Who wants the government to do everything for us?
Provide free school, free healthcare, guaranteed income, etc.
Not the conservatives.
