I strongly believe we're about to see a lot of new rules and regulations surfacing across the country in every state, more layers of fees and licensing and the creation of "agencies" regulating those of us who collect monies from borrowers, deliver wiring instructions, etc. These duties are above and beyond the duties of just plain ole' notaries, who are not required to collect cash to close checks, money orders and cashiers checks. Even though we hold them less than 24 hours, sometimes only an hour or two, but we're still the collector of sums of money.
