But to suggest I can't service areas with a TC I currently work with simply because I got a low-ball offer ($XX for a refi in another county) from a SS for that area is absurd.

There's nothing unethical in what I've done. It's nonsense to think so. I've had offers for signings directly from TCs after I refused low-ball offers *for the same signing* from SSs. This has happened a few times. When the SS couldn't find a notary and the TC called me directly, was it unethical for me to take the signing?
