That is correct. I was hired by the sellers

They presented valid ID and when I mentioned that the dates in the notarial certificates must reflect the actual signing date, per Florida law, they said they understood. Those were the only dates changed in the documents.

If they want to resign on the 25th so that the dates match the transaction date, then they will need to pay my signing fee again. They will also need to fax the signed docs to the GA law office themselves (or pay me a fee for the service, in which case I would probably scan/email), or pay someone to drive the original documents to the law office same day in the event the law office insists the originals must be received on 09/25/14.
