I think it's in the interpretation of that section

and your answer is right here at the beginning where it states:

" NRS 240.1655  Notarial acts. [Effective through December 31, 2013.]
1.  A notarial act must be evidenced by a certificate that:"

{{goes on to define a certificate}}

"Must be evidenced by a certificate" - means no certificate, no notarial act, no stamp. **IMO**

Now - some solutions:

1. Call your SOS again and get someone to give you a more definitive answer - explain the situation and ask them if you can do this - honestly, the better answer is the one you get from them and not from anyone here.

2. Going forward, if 240.1655 holds, your only alternative is to get an ack or jurat stamp made for each member of your team and when you have these jobs, tell the trucker or company that if they want your seal on each page the driver is going to have to sign each page and you notarize his signature on each page - which will be reflected in your NEW increased fee....it's the law and it's the only way you can do it.

My response to companies who tell me "other notaries do it all the time" is always "well, other notaries break the law then...I won't"...

I have been told by our SOS that my stamp cannot be affixed if there's no notarial act...period. And I abide by that. I was also a notary for over 25 years in Connecticut - never put my seal on just anything.
