<<<Thanks for your input, but does anyone know WHY the title company would ask for this?>>>
WHY? Because they wish to babysit and handhold the notary signing agent. They don't hire professionals who know what they are doing and get the job done. They hire employee minded signing agents whom *they* dictate the pay and procedures.....procedures = how to conduct to signing, when to call the borrower to confirm the appt, when to call them to report that the NSA is on their way to meet with the borrowers, when the NSA arrived at the signing, completed the signing, dropped the signed package off at the shipper, etc.
<<< The statement is "a copy of your notary log page where you notarized the documents.>>>
See paragraph above.
<<<There are times when I have as many as 20+ signature lines for one loan. I may respond with my request for a written, signed statement listing the items. (I am sure they will not pay the $.30.>>>
Yes, and their request must list EACH line item and ALL the pertinent info pertaining to EACH line item.......not a generic "copy of your notary page". |
