Technically, use of the word "consummation" is grammatically accurate - especially in a legal context like this - even though in common usage, as we all know, it means something else to the rest of us... Wink

[Just for the heck of fit, here's a definition I found online:

"noun
1. the act of consummating; completion.
2. the state of being consummated; perfection; fulfillment."]

Having said that, I don't expect to be saying anything much different when this all goes into effect. When it comes to talking to borrowers, I realized that I don't usually refer to our appointment with a noun (i.e. "signing", "closing", etc.), but instead describe what we'll be doing ("signing your documents").

Sheesh! If people give us wise cracks now when we administer an oath, I can't imagine what they'd say if we told them we would be meeting to consummate their loan!

I seriously doubt this will be an issue.
