7 years ago in Orlando, I participated with a title company in a Foreclosure Buyers Auction event held at the County Convention Center. Because it was held on a Sunday, and no one knew what kind of checks to bring, they were bringing is suitcases of money, and you could see all the cash laid out on the table after the won their house. The most bizarre thing I did see, but that's the risk of going to these auctions and paying right on the spot on a Sunday....so I guess I did see that. I am not sure how the transactions were handles, bu there was a ton of cash floating around that day from investors. It seemed risky, but to bid, you had to be pre registered and your company listed and such, so I believe more under control. |
